Mission & Outreach
Faith is focused on Mission in many different ways and through many groups of the church. In 2009/2010 we are focusing our mission efforts into three main categories: local, national, and international.
For the local mission we put our efforts into the Silver Creek and Gowanda flood relief. Members of our congregation went down to help prepare dinners and brought supplies that helped feed and clothe displaced families, as well as aid in the clean-up efforts.
A national mission has not yet been determined, but our international mission for the year is Heifer International.
"Heifer's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth. Heifer does this by providing appropriate livestock, training and related services to small-scale farmers and communities worldwide."
Faith hopes to contribute to Heifer International by raising money throughout the year and in June, purchasing animals which will then be given to a needy party, who will then, give the off-spring of their animal to another needy party, continuing the giving!
